*** 2008 WAIVER REQUIRED ***

All shooters at the Lippold Center and any other Auroraland Archers venue must sign a new waiver every year BEFORE being allowed to participate. This is required in order to meet the obligations to our insurance provider. The waiver book is kept on the counter. This requirement applies to EVERY SHOOTER, not just club members.

March Club Meeting

Our next meeting will be Thursday, March 6 at 7:30 at Lippold Center on Route 25 in Batavia.

March Club Shoot

Our March Club shoot will be Sunday, March 2 from 9 – 2. This will be a Freeman Round which necessitates a single starting time of 10:00am.

Jim Bailey 3-D Team Shoot

With only 4 participants the Jim Bailey 3D Team Shoot was won by Dave & Dave, or was it Dave & Ray?

Winter 300 League
Winter League is going well with 24 shooters spread across 4 teams that are going into the 6th week as I write. If you have not paid in full, the costs will be $39 and $19.50 respectively. Contact Dale Dobbins at (630) 464-6845.

Post Winter 300 League Shoot-Off!

To cap off our ALA Winter League, a special Shoot-off will be held for any Winter League member choosing to participate.

Here are the Highlights:

*Open to anyone who shot the ALA Winter League
*Shooters may use either 1-spot or 5-spot
*There will be a single line time- Friday, March 28 at 7:30pm at Lippold
*Lane assignment will be by drawing
*The TOP GUN AWARD will be for the highest Scratch Score
*The HIGH WITH HANDICAP AWARD will be for the highest score using each competitors end-of-league handicap
*Results will be announced at the Annual Awards Banquet
*Only shoot-off competitors may shoot at this time (NO OPEN SHOOTING)

Pre-registration would be appreciated, but is not required. Please contact Dale Dobbins to pre-register

Meat Donations needed

March 15 is the date for the Wild Game Dinner H’ors D at 5:30 Dinner at 6 pm. As always meat donations are needed, especially Duck Rabbit, Squirrel and Pheasant. Also we could use some raffle prizes. Contact Mike Hamburg or Bill Balt.

Monday Bowhunter Night

Monday night 3D is running again. Start time is 7:30 and is open to all Bowhunters. Contact Dave Shumway.

Level 2 Instructor Training

A Level 2 Instructor training class will be held in early 2008. If interested, contact Russ Kunes at (630) 699-8940. This 2 day training will be held on a Saturday and Sunday.

2008 ITAA State Target Indoor Championship
The results are attached to the electronic form as a PDF file. Mailed forms will have a page.


Practice Fees

Practice Fees for ALA Members at Lippold center are currently:
$1.00 for paper targets ($0.50 if prepaid in league)
$1.00 for white broadhead block – NO field points on this target)
$5.00 for non club members
NOTE – Broadheads MUST NOT be shot at 3D animal targets or at the wall.

Freeman Round Clarification

The Freeman Round (March) will have a single line time of 10:00 AM so all shooters must be ready to begin at that time. It consists of 3 ends at 10 yards, 4 ends at 15 yards, and 5 ends at 20 yards, with 5 arrows per end.
