All shooters at the Lippold Center and any other Auroraland Archers venue must sign a new waiver every year BEFORE being allowed to participate. This is required in order to meet the obligations to our insurance provider. The waiver book is kept on the counter. This requirement applies to EVERY SHOOTER, not just club members!!
Monthly Club Meeting
Our next meeting will be Thursday, April 5 at 7:30 at Lippold Center on Route 25 in Batavia. Please join us!
March Club Shoot Results
Ten shooter took part in the Dart Face Shoot. The game 1 on 1 cricket, with all shooters shooting at least 2 single elimination games and up to 150 arrows. Definitely a fun shoot!
April 1 - Dart Face Shoot
On Sunday April 1, there will be a DART FACE INVITATIONAL shoot at Lippold Center. Each shooter begins with 501 points and counts arrows until they reach exactly 0 points. The winner in each division will be the archer who shoots the fewest arrows to reach ZERO!
This is definitely a fun shoot, and it certainly breaks the monotony of just shooting spots. Please come down, give it a try, and help support Auroraland Archers! Time is 8am-2pm and cost is $5. Contact Dale Dobbins at 630-464-6845(cell)
March 10 - Wild Game Dinner
Mike Hamburg, as Chair of the Wild Game Dinner, deserves a huge THANK YOU for making it a great success again this year. Of course, Mike can't do it all alone and some of the others who helped in the kitchen and outdoor grilling were Bill & Randi Balt, Chris Hamburg, Russ Kunes, Michelle Augustyn & Kami Kiss. We also appreciate the efforts of our MC, Dale Dobbins, who both turned us loose on the food and kept the Raffles moving along, which brings us to Beth Stehlin who ran the Raffle Table. Speaking of Raffle items, last year it was noted that Gift Baskets were a big hit. With that in mind, Kami Kiss and Glenna Ruff each created baskets for the raffle. Additionally, Beth Stehlin created the huge Double Basket which was so large it deserved its very own drawing. This ladies deserve this special Thank You because of the time, effort and cost which went into creating those donations to the WGD. Thank you as well to the following businesses and individuals who provided raffle items. The Businesses: Batavia Bait & Tackle - Fishing poles & Certificate; Glisson Archery - PSE Bow; Nock & Feather - various archery items. The Individuals: Ray Caruso, Jim Gellner, Ray Hatfield, Paul Pizzo and Dave Shumway.
I'm sure I missed a few of the kitchen help and I also didn't list the set up and clean up staff. I've listed the name of everyone I know of who donated a raffle item but I'm certain I missed a few there as well! If you helped out, you know it and we appreciate it so here's a broad THANK YOU to everyone whose name I failed to mention! If any additional special recognition is needed, please drop me a note to place in the May Newsletter. Also, your support of the businesses who donated would be most appreciated!
