July Events (sneak peek)

July 3- Club Meeting 7:30pm
July 6- Club Shoot 8am-1pm Bowling has been proposed so now there is another chance to try this Game.

*** 2008 WAIVER REQUIRED ***

All shooters at the Lippold Center and any other Auroraland Archers venue must sign a new waiver every year BEFORE being allowed to participate. This is required in order to meet the obligations to our insurance provider. The waiver book is kept on SHOOTER, not just club members.

July Club Meeting

Our next meeting will be Thursday, July 3rd at 7:30 at Lippold Center on Route 25 in Batavia.

An Open House at Blackwell

There will be another Open House July 19th at the Archery Range at Blackwell F.P. in Warrenville. This was a good time last year and we could use some help in the booth with the opportunity to shoot their range. Ask Dale or Ray for more info.

New Time for Bowhunter League

The starting time for Bowhunter league has been changed to 7:15 by Dave Shumway. Please note the new time!

An Update

Dale has informed me that the Club Awards Wall has been updated and returned.

Speaking of Awards

If you shot a Robin Hood during the last two leagues, please let Dale Dobbins know so we can give you the award that was made for this.

Club Championship
The 3D leg of the Club Championship was held on the weekend of the MAC shoot May31-June 1

The Target Round will be held the morning of the Club Picnic, August 3rd.


June Club Shoot

Our June Club Shoot was held on Saturday & Sunday May 31 + June1 in conjunction with the MAC Shoot held at Aurora West F.P. Results will be available at the Meeting July 3rd.

New Archery Game!

There has been proposed a new game of Bowling suggested using the 450 face and having two person teams like the regular game. You will have the choice to shoot one or two arrows in order to make a strike or spare. Any input or questions go to Dale Dobbins

Practice Fees

Practice Fees for ALA Members at Lippold center are currently:
$1.00 for paper targets ($0.50 if prepaid in league)
$1.00 for white broadhead block – NO field points on this target)
$5.00 for non club members
NOTE – Broadheads MUST NOT be shot at 3D animal targets or at the wall.
